Matterhorn
Swiss Village is located in the Wallowa Mountains,
in Northeast Oregon. Wallowa County, rich in Native American lore,
is truly a land of enchantment! Here you will find a most spectacular
domain with majestic snowcapped mountains rising up to 10,000 feet,
over 60 beautiful high lakes, streams with lush green valleys carpeted
with wild flowers. On the eastern boundary, the canyon known as
Hell's Canyon may be found, a gorge deeper than any other in North
America.
How to Find Us: If you are traveling east on I-84, take exit 261 at La Grande, Oregon and head east on Hwy. 82 Approximately 81 miles to the south end of Wallowa Lake. If you are traveling west on I-84, take exit 261 at La Grande, Oregon and head east on Hwy. 82 approximately 81 miles to the south end of Wallowa Lake. If you are traveling south on state highway 204 from Weston, Oregon, turn onto Hwy. 82 at Elgin at head east approximately 50 miles to the south end of Wallowa Lake. If you are traveling from the Clarkston, Washington or Lewiston, Idaho area, take Washington state highway 129 south through Asotin, Washington. Proceed to the Oregon border, where it turns to highway 3. Go to Enterprise and take a left at highway 82. Head east 12 miles to the south end of Wallowa Lake. When you arrive at the south end of Wallowa Lake you will want to stay to the left at the "Y" intersection, and go approximately two blocks. We are located on the right hand side of the road.
